Funding Circle Office
This year WE have been working with Funding Circle on the development and implementation of the furniture for their new offices on Queen Victoria Street. The project started with some very clear guidelines on the styles they wanted to achieve, although there were some challenging implications with regards to budgets and lead times. In addition to the tight lead times much of the procurement had to be carried out through the summer which involved a number of factory shutdowns.
After a fast but thorough selection process a bespoke version of the Blok desk range was selected along with desk top and under desk power set ups. Freedom pedestals with a bespoke cushion on top and the Sentis task chair finished off the workstations.
There was a good mix of meeting space solutions, from a variety of bespoke ply meeting hubs furnished with upholstered Catifa 46 meeting chairs. Some of these spaces were informal drop in spaces whilst others were for more private meetings. WE supplied Buzziskin soundproofing material for the internal curved walls to help reduce sound bounce. The exterior of these spaces created some excellent shaped touch down seating areas for which we supplied the bespoke cushions. This was also provided in the bespoke mini auditorium overlooking the "golf course"!
More formal meeting space was provided in the double boardroom, furnished with Folding UR modular tables and Catifa 46 chairs. This space could open out to an area that could be viewed from the auditorium where we supplied some additional bespoke cushions.
Informal meeting spaces were created throughout the office in a variety of ways, from B-Bitz pouffs and tip ton chair meeting areas to "Away from the desk" meeting hubs the office space invites communication in every area.
Storage requirements were dealt with by providing storage wall throughout the office which was later awakened with inspirational manifestations to hide its practical purpose. This was supported by a full height roller storage archive system in the basement for high capacity and flexible storage.
Probably my favourite space in the office though would have to be the "Funderbar". A practical dining and entertainment area, furnished with a bespoke poseur height UR folding table on lockable castors and bright orange Miura bar stools. Situated alongside the table tennis arena this helps create a real community feel within what is a large office.
